Public Advocate Candidates Forum – UPDATE
VID and Nine Other Democratic Clubs Sponsor a Public Advocate Candidates Forum, on January 6th, 2019 at the LGBT Center, 208 West 13th St. The multi-club Public Advocate Candidates Forum will host 17 confirmed candidates, thus far announced. RSVP is requested Download the Brochure VID will have an endorsement meeting from 5-6 PM after the forum. Club members will discuss the Public Advocate candidates and vote for a club endorsee.
November 7 Ballot Endorsements
At the Oct. 12th Meeting VID voted upon November 7 Ballot Endorsements VID voted to oppose proposal #1 and approved proposals # 2 and #3. For City Council District 1 there was no endorsement. On the first of the November 7 ballot endorsements asking for a majority vote for a Constitutional Convention, VID unanimously rejected the proposal and thus agreed with the opinion of the New York Civil Liberties Union at the September meeting.
