June 11 General Meeting

The June 11 General Meeting will highlight Police Reforms, Voting Reforms and Medical Aid in Dying Our June General Membership Meeting is this Thursday, June 11th, 6:30pm-9pm.  The meeting will feature Guest Speaker Greg Speed of America Votes, plus discussion on Police Reform (Defund NYPD Resolution and Police Reform Resolution) and on the Medical Aid in Dying Act.  The full agenda is here. VID Endorsed Joe Biden

VID officially endorsed Joe Biden for US President!  At the April 2nd General Meeting VID Officially Endorsed Joe Biden, Welcomed Four Speakers and Voted on the SWEAT Bill Resolution Endorsements and Primary Voting [April 30 Update]  VID Endorsed Joe Biden with a vote of 28;  12 for Bernie Sanders, and 2 for No Endorsement.  The Democratic Presidential Primary  in New York State rescheduled for June 23, 2020 has been cancelled.  The state and federal primaries are still scheduled for June 23rd.  All eligible voters in active or inactive status will be mailed an absentee ballot application for a primary or special […]

Petitioning Has Ended

VID petitioning has ended. The governor has announced that, due to the serious health concerns facing our state, he will curtail petitioning as of 5:00 PM on Tuesday and reduce the number of signatures needed to qualify to get on the ballot to 30% of the usual number. This is great news. The health of too many people was being jeopardized. VID is in excellent shape.  We have collected over 1000 signatures.
