Election Day Endorsements

Election Day is coming up on November 5th, Early Voting starts TOMORROW, Saturday, October 26 through Sunday, November 3rd. Your early polling site is likely different from your regular polling place. To find out where to vote, both early and on November 5th, go to nyc.pollsitelocator.com. July 2019 General Meeting

The July 2019 General Meeting covered planning for Primaries, affordable housing, the recount in Queens, the proposed 45 story prison construction at 124 White Street…and pidgeon kidnapping. President David Siffert opened the July 2019 General Meeting by citing the successful Primary, in which Jen Hoppe won the District Leader position unopposed, and the Judicial Delegates also won unopposed.  Among his announcements: A Judicial Candidates Forum in Soho on August 5,  set up for the delegates, but anyone is welcome to attend.  A call to attend  the July 12 protest of the border camps, at Broadway and Reade Streets The VID picnic on July 17 at Hudson River Park The Andy Kim fundraiser on July 19 at Frieda Bradlow’s house. August 2018 Meeting

August 2018 Meeting Featured Updates from Congressman Jerry Nadler and Covered Primary Plans, Immigration, Environment and Gun Reform President Erik Coler opened the August 2018 Meeting with a request to insert the Immigration Resolution into the Agenda after the Committee Reports.  This was unanimously approved along with the rest of the Agenda.  He then announced there would be no September meeting as Primary Day falls on the normal second Thursday of the month and that that the County Committee meeting would most likely be held in the last week of August, according to Ben Yee. Keen Berger’s District Leader Report covered the race for Civil Court Judge by Robert Rosenthal, the VID endorsed candidate.  Sheshe asked for volunteers. Nat Johnson gave the Environmental Committee Report next, filling us in on the planned tour of the Sims Municipal Recycling Center on September 20.  The club is selling $3 reusable bags.  Styrofoam […]

Voter Guide -Nov. 7, 2017

VID is now distributing the Nov 7, 2017 Voter Guide Please help VID give out Voter Guide cards on Election Day. You can dowload the full Voter Guide HERE If you have a couple of hours to spare you can make a difference. We need to defeat ballot proposal #1 calling for a NY State constitutional convention (see attached palm card).   The most important hours are 7-9 AM & 5-7 PM but anytime is good.   Contact VID’s campaign chairs if you are available to hand out our palm cards on Election Day: Tony Hoffmann Laurie Hardjowirogo   You can pick up palm cards at VID Headquarters, 26 Perry St., at the following times: Thurs. 11/2 – 6-7:30 PM Sat. 11/4 – 11:00 AM-1:00 PM Mon. 11/6 – 6:00-7:30 PM Tues. 11/7 – 7-9: AM; 4-7 PM Don’t forget to check your POLL SITE LOCATION
