At the January 9, 2014 meeting, VID elected 2014 officers… after a stimulating and thorough forum led by Kate Press, Deputy National Field Director for J Street on Secretary of State John Kerry’s Initiative To Achieve a Two State Solution To The Israeli/Palestinian Issue, club members nominated and elected the remaining Officers and Executive Committee members for 2014. At VID’s December meeting the major topics were Small Business, Trans-Pacific Partnership, Sexual Assaults in Military, Filibuster and Campaign Finance Reform Village Independent Democrats approved one letter and three resolutions at the Dec 12th meeting. Sharon Woolums introduced the resolution on Small Business Jobs Survival Act; Alec Pruchnicki and Ron Illardo presented points in opposition to the Trans-Pacific Partnership and the resolution.
